Public Record due to Unintentional Skipping
« on: January 26, 2008 04:24:19 PM »
Hi All,
In late 2003 I lost my job and moved from NYC to CT. I did not realize that I had a balance with the NYC Department of Finance and since I did not do a change of address until after I moved to CT it took a few months for me to get mail notifying me of a judgment against me. I notified the credit bureaus that I had moved but I was told nothing can be done about that.  Is there any thing I can do to correct my credit reports?  I believe I was denied a job because of that and it is scheduled to stay in my report until 2010.

The NYC Judgment appears in the Public Records session in TransUnion as;

Manhattan County Clerk Docket# #####
Type: Paid Civil Judgment
Responsibility: Individual Debt
Amount: $657
Plaintiff: NYC Department of Finance
Plaintiff Attorney: Salas Simon
Date filed: 09/2003
Date Paid: 02/2004

Thank you!

Hey folks
Does anyone have a link on the Procedural Request attack of such Public Records?
As we all KNOW the courts do not furnish the info to the CRAs thus this Public Record is less than maximumly accurate.
Hogan or Lex reported this IMHO.

Also, the OP reports to me that the Experian public records entry on this matter mentions a notorious CA. ???
Of the public records TLs I've personally viewed that is a first.
In my opinion, the two are so different at least one must be "low hanging fruit".
Let give the newb a hand and dig up some bookmarked links someone likely as at the ready.

Also to learned, as you may well guess, the CA do troll around these boards so do give too much away as to your ID.
Ok to fudge some of the info as you may well have already done just to throw the CA trolls off your scent.LOL

Hi Foolsmission,
Thank you for your kindness in helping me with this matter.

The Experian records I mentioned to you were not the ones for this - my mistake.

Thanks.
