CreditWrench is up to his old tricks

He seems to be in the process of hacking up my book and using it to build his site:

Copyright infringement?

Copyright infringement?

Could be fair use ... depends on where he goes with it...

Fair use does not include the lifting of substantial portions of a work, and he certainly can't claim the archival exception to justify his posting. He also has the problem of not providing appropriate reference to the author or acknowledgment of the copyright.

As I recall, he pulled this sort of thing on FlyingIFR and the Method

Time to have a chat with a good IP attorney.

edit: actually... what does your publisher think of this?

I am my publisher ... and I think I can leverage this ... not ready to lower the boom just yet.

Good Old Billie never had an original thought grace his meager Gray matter, and why should he when there is cut-and-paste?

Yes, he did plagiarize the Method a couple of years ago, then give me credit in 2 point type, then bad mouthed me as one of the "most dangerous teachers in America".

Consider it a compliment that he wishes he could have thought of what he copied. But he didn't, and that's why he copied it.
BTW-the Flyingifr Method does work. (quoted from Hannah on Infinite Credit, September 19, 2006)

I think of a telephone as a Debt Collector's crowbar. With such a device it is possible to pry one's mouth open wide enough to allow the insertion of a foot or two.

Morality of Debt? No one ever went to Hell for not paying a debt.

Now he's claiming "fair use" and apparently he's going to be content with what he's already posted. I do come in for some gratuitous abuse, but who doesn't hate a lawyer?

I'm not going to get into a long-running "Uncle Normie" type feud with him. He's not a fit antagonist for leveraging the Hegelian dialectic ... for that I would need a collector.

Flyingifr ... there is a bit that troubles me on page 101 ... let me know if you want a credit for that.

Didn't know they offered internet access to nursing home residents.

His Alzheimer's has obviously progessed since his last run-in with Flying. He could probably plow his pant's zipper over his own genitalia, and STILL manage to forget the whole thing occurred until the grocery store manager accuses him of stowing a bunch of Concord grapes in his pants.

Why ya'll picking on a poor, confused old man?

I think Billy boy is sitting there drooling tied to a chair and Bernarda has taken over creditwrench.
