Item removd from credit report. Does it provide any affirmative defenses or ?

( Asset Acceptance - > American Express Assignee )

I challenged the validity of the American Express appearing on my credit report.  It has not appeared on any of my credit reports for some time.  (Asset Acceptance is however on my report(s) )

Is there a way to use this as an affirmative defense in answering my summons?  If so how would you phrase it?

Does this create any violations I can countersue for?
